For his Sand Groove project, he decided to release the track Waves as a single, and contacted me to design the cover.

Kaarmun’s story goes back to his trip to French Polynesia. Waves is a track that takes us straight to the edge of the Pacific, to a surfers’ party where jazz bands and house music mix. I wanted to depict a warm, festive atmosphere on the cover, using simple colors. You can see sand and water, but also a sunken object. This is the main subject of the cover, a Polynesian Tiki – a wood carving – typical of the archipelago.
I suggested to Kaarmun that he should have a simple cover, with a point of view on a subject that would directly embody the origin of his music. The aim was to convey through the image the colors of the music, the sensations of the beach through the sounds.
The image takes the listener on a journey before listening to the piece.

A video was produced to announce the release of the single. We decide to show the basics informations, like apps where the single is available, and the name of Kaarmun the artist.
Some derivatives have been made to display different information, or depending on the format and distribution network.
